Our Mission
Our goal is to protect and promote the stunning beauty, rich biodiversity and heritage of our local environment and natural landscape; and safeguard Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty by protecting the natural landmarks that define the Roe Valley and wider Sperrins.
These areas are currently under immediate threat from industrialisation, mining and destruction. Please join us in standing up to this reckless greed and protecting our local heritage and landscape.

Help save Benbradagh
Benbradagh is set to be destroyed by the erection of a wind farm with turbines measuring a staggering 150m in height. These turbines will dwarf all others that already stand in the area and forever change the natural habitats and beauty of the mountain and surrounding landscape.
We must protect Benbradagh from this, and in doing so the rest of the Roe Valley and our wider, beautiful landscapes from industrialisation.
Your help is needed. Your voice is critical!

- Copy and paste the contents of the letter into an email and send it to planning@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk

What is an AONB?
An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is an area of countryside that has been designated for conservation due to it's significant landscape value. Benbradagh majestically marks the edge of the Sperrins Mountain range, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our AONB's are not given the same protection as national parks and today, they are under threat from numerous companies that wish to destroy them in the interests of their own profit and greed. We must fight against them and protect our treasured landscape and environment.
